You can use it with any MCP-compatible AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, and others). Just hand over the connection details from the settings screen, and the AI connects itself.
Q. Which OS is supported?
It runs on Windows.
Q. Do I need an internet connection?
The standard voice runs entirely on your own PC. You can also choose a more natural cloud voice instead (in that case, you'll need an account with your voice provider).
Q. Won't the voice get annoying?
You decide when it calls, how often, and during which hours. Switching it off during meetings, or to sound-only at night, is a single tap.
Q. Can I try it for free?
Yes. There's a 14-day free trial. Cancel during the trial and you won't be charged.
Q. Which plan includes Telegram notifications?
They are part of the Standard plan. Standard is also free for 14 days, so you can experience the whole thing — Telegram notifications included — before deciding.
Q. I have never used Telegram.
That's fine. BackHook's settings screen has guidance built in that walks you from installing Telegram to connecting it, one step at a time. No technical knowledge needed.
Q. Does using Telegram cost anything?
No. Telegram is a free messaging app, and receiving notifications costs nothing.
Q. Will the notifications get noisy?
They will not. The follow-up notification comes once, never in a row. Voice only, Telegram only, or both — you decide, per time of day and per situation.
